As promised here's the film's review~! ^^

The film starts like Walter wants to send a "wink" on a dating site to his new college, Cheryl, but the system for some reason is unable to perform the request. He calls up a guy, called Todd, who works for the site in the need of help. When Walter tells him the woman is his college, Todd asks why doesn't he just ask her out/talks to her. For sure this would be the easiest thing to do, but not for Walter.



Can I just start with how I adore Ben Stiller in this movie? In my opinion he gives such an amazing performance, he puts on Walter Mitty's personality so well that I completely forget he's Ben Stiller. He makes Walter come alive for that 114 minutes. So Walter Mitty is just like his house. Simple,clean,the colour grey sums up himself & his life perfectly. We can assume he never broke any rules in his life, always obeys/obeyed the rules, goes to work, does not talk back. And often daydreams.

One day as he arrives at Life he gets the news their company is bought up, so Life's gonna be an online magazine. This issue will be their last in paper form. Walter deals with the cover photos which he gets from the mysterious Sean. But this case is a "little bit" different. For some reason he can't find the negative no. 25, which should be the cover of the last issue since it's the Quintessence of Life as Sean wrote. Using the other negatives Walter finds out Sean is in Greenland & decides to go there to find him and then the lost negative.



The question is will Walter be able to find the photo? Will he be fired? Will the company survive? How will the story end?

I'm not a movie expert, I just love watching good films and probably this one has many?/not so many? mistakes but it has such a good message, I think everyone should see it.

We can see Life's motto on the company's wall and it says:
                         
                                    "To see the world, things dangerous to come to
                                          to see behind walls, to draw closer
                                             to find each other,and to feel
                                               that is the Purpose of Life."

Excuse my fangirl feels but this is so beautiful, it immediately captured my attention. I think everyone should keep this quote in his head...or better to keep it in the heart.

And apart from this the film has many more nice quotes, lines which deserves to be heard.

Not to mention the scenes, that deserves to be seen. So many beautiful landscapes appear in the movie which cannot be described by words. You totally get the feeling you want to travel and see it by your own eyes.

I also like how the credits were put in the movie, i find it really creative. The beginning of the movie is kind of grey so the creators decided to give some colors to & since I like colorful stuffs I find it really cool & for me it suits the movie well.

Talking about the cast they did a pretty good job. As I mentioned before I love Ben Still's performance and they make an awesome team Kristen Wiig. I really hate that Ted guy in the movie with his ridiculous beard, but I cannot help but feel Adam Scott fits the role perfectly. He typically has that kind of big faced businessman face. For some reason I find Adrian Martinez and Patton Oswalt so cute I can't even tell. :)

But most importantly, let's embrace the glorious soundtrack. Bless the people who put these songs in the movie. These tracks just make the whole thing even more marvelous. I'm completely blown.



So this piece is really close to Eat Pray Love, my no. 1 favorite movie and i completely find it possible to take it's place.

They used the title Life for a reason. In the quote are they talking about the magazine or life? It makes me think. It is labelled as romantic adventure comedy-drama film but I would add self-improvement too. The movie can help you a lot if you get the message.

The message is? To dare to Live. To Believe. To do NOT give up. To Try. To Keep Going.

                                               "...that is the Purpose of Life."
