What's on my bookshelf? Levente Lakatos:Loveclub & Elizabeth Bard: Lunch in Paris review
2014. március 1. | 3/01/2014 | 0Comment

Lately I finally got some time for reading,so i wasn't aware to borrow some books from the library. The books I'll be reviewing now are the above mentioned. Warning! It may consist spoilers!

I'll start with Levente Lakatos's Loveclub.

As you can guess from the writer's name it's a Hungarian book. And I was anticipating it a lot. I picked this piece with excitement since I've read & heard about it before. I couldn't wait to get home & start it. I read it in 4-5 days and i really couldn't put it off...but not in a good way at all. The beginning was really a teenage book like: it starts off with a "romantic" scene. But after the first chapter everything goes weird. Lili's flatmate,Nicole, gets murdered -exciting,exciting- and ,of course, Lili,as a new journalist, wants to figure the exact story out. It sounds like an Agatha Christie novel,but... The book is divided to chapters, but they don't have different titles because the characters' names function as titles. There are about 3 or 4 main characters, and the crazy part comes when you read the first Bloodsmoke20 titled chapter. Yes, he will be the big bad, BUT YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT HE HAS DONE/HE WANTS TO DO. If you planned to give this book to an underage one, I tell you to do not do that. This thing is really not for kinds. I couldn't slept thanks to this book. I literally had nightmares, cos my brain was always thinking about it. So I decided to finish it quickly. I wanted to read the author's other book titled Barbibaby but I think I'll skip it. What's more as a treat I borrowed two, overly romantic & drooly book.

One of them was Elizabeth Bard's Lunch in Paris

This piece was a lot better. I wouldn't say this is the most exciting book I've ever read, but it got me. It's basically about a woman who marries a French man & learns how to live in France's capital city, the city where many women dream to live, in Paris. While telling her story she shares recipes you can also cook at  home, so it'll be like a part of you is in the city of fashion. Also she describes really well the place, you can totally see it in front of your eyes. However I would recommend this book to the people who are going to live in Paris or gonna marry a French male. But this book was really good for my soul after what I've read in the previous book. Ohh, and it's not overly romantic nor drooly so don't be afraid to start it.

As I wrote I borrowed two books, the other one is a book from Erica Bauermeister. It's similar to Bard's book but it didn't catch my attention & I hate not finishing stuffs, but I just gonna borrow another book(s).

So this is for now~ I'll write soon ^_^ xoxo ♥
